Product Description

The Pro-Series Cargo Truck Rack lets you free up your truck bed for tools and supplies by raising those long and heavy loads (up to 500 lbs.) into the air and out of the back of the truck. Individual front and rear racks install safely and securely to support your extension ladders, deck boards, plumbing supplies, pipes and more. It’s a fully adjustable truck rack that fits most truck makes and models to gain more space inside the truck bed. This item is constructed of 2 in. diameter tubular steel crossbars, which are coated in a heavy-duty powder coat black paint finish that resists scratches and rust. Heavy-duty 1/4 in. by 14 in. brace plates distributes the weight of the load along the truck bed. Use the Cargo Truck Rack as either single front-mounted rack or install the rear-mounted rack as well. Drill mount required for secure installation. Use these guidelines to determine if this item will fit your truck: inside truck bed measures no more than 74 in. W maximum and 52.5 in. W minimum.

4Great construction, sturdy
By Jack
Bought a 15+ foot canoe and needed a way to transport it. Found this carrier on Amazon for a good price so figured what the heck. Arrived a day early.
Pros: 1. Easy assembly once the feet are mounted.
2. Very sturdy. Can rock the bed without the rack moving a bit.
3. Looks like factory equipment.
Cons: 1. Mounting the feet took some customization.
a. Had to drill new holes in the feet and the bed lip for all mounts.
b. Had to do some minor sheet metal bending to have enough room for the bolts.
i. Not the products issue, the 2010 F-150 bed lip is very narrow (one side was 3/8 inch wider than the other)
c. If you have a drill press use it for drilling the holes in the feet.
i. You will need a 7/16ths drill bit. 3/8ths is not big enough. 13/32nds would be even better.
d. If your holes in the bed lip will go into single wall sheet metal you may consider using a 1" wide piece of iron or steel, painted, to reinfo rce the bed lip. I did not not.
e. Had to remove the bed tie down points and the bed liner in order to have access to the bolts.

It took about 2 hours to install.
Spray Paint the underside of the bed lip where the holes are drilled
Remove all the metal shards
Two people makes it go easier.

5Pro-Series HTCARG 500 lb Cargo Truck Rack on F150
By W. Schiller
I bought this rack to carry a canoe on my 2007 Ford F150. None of the pre-drilled holes in the mounting plates lined up with the accessible lip on the bedrails of my truck, so I had to drill new holes in the rack mounting plates, which are about 1/8" thick steel. This took a while but was not complicated. Once done, I clamped the racks in place on the truck, drilled mounting holes in the truck and installed the bolts with no trouble. I haven't loaded anything on the racks yet, but I can do chin-ups on them and they seem really sturdy and don't even wiggle -- very strong (I weight 180 lb). So I'm very happy with the racks. They were a very good deal at the low price, especially with free shipping.

5Great for Kayak racks!
By L. Koewing
I had to drill holes into my truck to secure the racks, no problem. I use those racks for transporting our Kayaks.
