5Great buy for the money!
By J. Gardella
I am happy with the performance and quality of these roof racks.
These racks saved me hundreds from the ones the dealership wanted to sell me, they are more versatile and heavy duty.
They do make a racket at speeds over 45mph if you don't have anything attached to them. I keep my bike racks attached and they make much less noise that way.
Installing them is a pain, but once you do it a few times and understand how they work, it's not so bad. I made some installation mistakes that got me very frustrated the first time I installed them. I suggest before your first attempt at installation, read and understand how everything works. Having a tape measure and marker is helpful. Getting to know what part does what function helped immensely.
The quality of the racks are good. These are not the $300 Thule racks; however they do preform the same function. The covers that slide over the clamping portion of the racks are very close to the roof of my vehicle. I used a small piece of rubber gasket to ensure they don't end up rubbing the paint. I am not sure that this will be an issue on every vehicle. Also the locking portion of the covers are "light duty" and require periodical oiling to keep from jamming.
On the clamping portion of the racks they use adjustment bolts that have a hex head, be careful, these strip easily. I would seriously consider going to the hardware store and getting a "T" style wrench and toss the one that they give you. (Why do they use Hex?) To avoid any unnecessary aggravation I keep the racks on for the entire summer, thay way i only deal with them twice a year.
I am not trying to knock this product in any way; I just want to give an accurate description of what I have dealt with.
Other than these minor gripes, I am very happy with my purchase.

4nice rack
By Ross A. Cottrell
Nothing extravagant about this rack. It bolted onto my minivan's roof and held our Thule box down for the whole trip to Bozeman and back to Seattle.
