Does the job

Volvo sells cross bars but they cost significantly more. Thes fit the car and my budget. Most importantly, they work just fine. I don't keep them on the car permanently. They come off and reattach easily. What more could I ask for?

Once I figured out to ignore the enclosed instuctions it became much easier to install. I've used it twice and it seems very solid with lighter items. If you have a sunroof, watch your positioning. The air movement at 40-50 mph creates a very loud whistle.
